Unity East and Deland/Weldon students enjoyed a safety day at Lincoln Square Mall in Urbana. Eastern Illini employees Bob Dickey and Pat Gallahue taught the children about electrical safety during the event. The event was organized by the Carle Center for Rural Health and Farm Safety and sponsored in part by Progressive Farmer magazine. |

The Magic School Bus and the Electric Field Trip” books were presented on March 2, 2005 to the 4th grade classes of Unity West Elementary School. Matt Eisenmenger, a lineman from Eastern Illini, also gave an electrical safety presentation to the students. |
