Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative, an electric distribution cooperative located in Paxton, Illinois, is seeking qualified candidates for an electrical engineer. The electrical engineer designs and develops programs in construction, operation, and maintenance of electric plant facilities, that will result in maximum continuity of service. The electrical engineer will plan, develop, and implement realistic and effective programs, budgets, and practices in operations, engineering and information technology. Responsibilities also include supervisory duties. Experience in electric distribution engineering, SCADA, AMI, and ability to perform analysis and planning studies (work plans) is required.
Qualified candidates must have a four-year college degree in engineering, preferably electrical; however, consideration will be given for other related degrees. A PE license is preferred, or the ability to obtain in a reasonable time frame. Practical application of skills in a related type of organization for a minimum of five years is required. Qualified candidates must possess knowledge of engineering classifications as well as knowledge of all types of line construction specifications and building practices for various electric plant facilities.
